Steven came home!!!!

We are so excited to have Chris' little brother home from his mission. He served in the Washington, Kennewick mission. We missed him and are so happy to have him home!

The greatest 4Th ever!

We got to take just Trenton to the Rodeo this year. Our other two would have just got board. We took him to dinner where ever he wanted to go and then to the Rodeo. He also got to ride the mechanical bull and stayed on. Then showed everyone that he could do some pull-up from the Marine booth at the Rodeo. Who ever could do certain amounts of pull-ups got something from the Marines. Trent ended up doing 6 pull-ups. He got a Marine baseball cap. He had a group of people cheering for him. He had a lot of fun. He stayed interested in the entire Rodeo. It was almost 3 hours too. I was surprised. Of course i didn't take any pictures:(
I feel sooooo bad because I didn't get any other pics of the day. The parade is so fun and there are so many floats. I love all the horse ones of course. And the kids did really well at it, well all but Tatum. She wanted to walk with all the floats. There was one accident during the parade. A pony pulling a cart and a women went out of control and took out another horse with a grandmother and a grand-daughter on it. The hores fell due to the pony running into it and the people were smashed by their own horse. The little girl was wearing a helmet, so she and her grandmother ended up being OK. The parade was delayed for 15 minutes or so and then they both got back on their horse and road on. That was the first accident we have ever seen in a 4Th of July parade.
The fireworks were fun too. We are lucky because we can watch them from home. We sit in the driveway and see them perfect. Then we don't have to fight the traffic and the kids go right in and go to bed! We had a really fun day.
Here he is Tucker Legler 1st place winner of the Prescott Boot Race 2009. The trophy is almost as big as he is! He also won a certificate for a pair of boots from Savoini's Feed Store worth $100!!!!Boots for next year here we come. The rule in this boot race is that they have to wear cowboy boots. So this is why we taped Tuckers on so he would be able to run fast in them. Well, it worked!! Awesome job buddy!

Here the are right before they took off. Jalie, (Tucks cousin) Tucker, and Kalie, (Tucks friend, Jalie's other cousin). Confused yet?

Here is Tucker trying to see me, but the sun was right in his face. We had to sports tape his boots on him cuz his were a little big and they fall of when he runs too fast. It must have worked because he WON the 3 and under heat!!! 1st place winner. We just love to see the kids run and he ran as fast as "Lightning McQueen"! I said to him right before the raced that his boots were like McQueen's tires.:) They love to do it and know that it's all for fun!

Trenton getting ready to run the Boot Race right after the 4Th of July parade! He was in the 5-6 year old age group. This is his two cousins Hunter and Jalie. Trenton ended up getting 4Th place. He stopped about 2 feet in front of the finish line to look where Chris was so he wouldn't get lost after the race was over. Oh well, there is always next year. He ran really well in those boots! His boots were lace-ups so we didn't need to use tape. We are proud of this boy and he was such a good sport when Tucks got the trophy and he didn't. Good job buddy!
