Part of the CLUB!

Trenton is now in the club of the losing teeth! He lost his first about a month ago. Chris pulled it out with a paper towel, well after 4 attempts. Then he lost hi 2ND one last week. He let mom pull that one also with a paper towel. (better grip) Anyways he was so tough because what kid will let you try 4 to 6 time to pull on a tooth when it hurts? He is so big, my baby is so big!

Pictures Finally!

So here it is...our new home! We are so happy to be in it and we love is so far. It is about 25 minutes from Prescott so we have to drive in a lot, but we like it! In the valley that's a normal commute everyday.

Funny how I put the pantry on first, but it's huge and we can fit the world in here!
This is a view from the living room into the kitchen.

Here is from the top of our backyard. It tress' up. Where the green plant is...that's where I want to put in our garden in the spring! So the yard is not as big as we would have liked...we wanted an acer or so, but we weren't finding the house we wanted with the land, so we settled for the house with a decent yard!

Looking right out the back door. It also goes about 15 yards behind me. Like in the picture above. SHED! We have a shed!

View from the dining room. Our new pre-lite Christmas tree. (got it on clearance last year at Sam's Club, yeah, deal)! Our new couch is so comfortable!

View from living room into dining room. Love our high table!

Our enormous hallway! This is the perfect track and sliding area for the 3 kiddos! It's bigger that it looks in the picture I think.
So there are no curtains yet and no rugs, but they'll come. I would show you the bedrooms, but they are all works in progress. They are painted and set up, but not how they will finally be. My brother-in-law is going to be putting in shelves in the boys room and wanes coating in Tatum's room. Our room and bathroom are almost done too. So when they are completed, I'll post them!
We hope everyone has a great Holiday and we miss you all!!!!!!

The HOUSE is your's LEGLER'S! FINALLY:)

We finally, finally, finally closed on our house. Although not one pic to prove it. Those will come later when I complete projects. We were in escrow for 8 weeks (3 weeks longer than we were told we would be), but we got our keys and we are on a roll. The boys' room and Tatum's room are finally painted. We started on our room tonight. Today I did nothing but clean ALL day. The house was built on 2005 so it's not like the cleaning was horrible, but you want to make sure everything is sanitized and up to your own satisfaction. Well now it's almost there until we get everything moved in. We decided to try to get all the painting and cleaning done before we make the big move. We are in a really good situation right now because we are not being pushed out of where we are living, so it makes things easier. We bought a new dinning room table and ordered a couch that should arrive tomorrow. Next we just need a washer and dryer. It's so much fun doing all this, yet the most difficult decisions ever! We are so blessed though!

U2 was AMAZING!

We were so lucky on Tuesday night because we were able to go see U2 in concert at Univ. of PHX stadium. This was our first U2 concert ever and it was awesome. This is a pic of Bono. He is kind of behind his microphone so look hard! We sat in the high seats, but it was still amazing. We loved every minute of this concert even if it started at 7 pm and U2 didn't come onto the stage until 9:15 pm. The Blackeyed Peas opened for them and they did great too.

This is us waiting for it to start. W took 4 pics and every one of them Chris was unable to keep his eyes open with the flash. So this is the best one with his eyes somewhat open. Ha Ha! It was so fun to be there together, I love this boy so much!
Thanks to my sister, Melanie and then grandpa Burk we were able to leave the kiddos up in Prescott. We didn't get home until 1:40 am and Chris had a FULL day of work the next day. We would do it again in a heartbeat, except we'd get closer seats!:)

Our family outing to Windmill Farms

We took the kids to Windmill Farms this past Saturday. We wanted to go somewhere else from where Trenton went on his field trip. Chris was not to happy that I made us all ride on a really DUSTY hay ride. This is his face during the ride.

We went with my brother and his little family. They have three kids also. So we got all the cousins together on the pumpkins to take a picture. Look at Tatum trying to sit on the pumpkin when it's about the height of her legs, ha ha.

Here is our little fam. Unfortunately Tucker didn't want to take the picture. Chris basically had to hold him there. Oh well.

Our House!

So here it is. A picture of our house that we are suppose to close on in ONE week. Not a lot from the front, but we love it! The inside is so much more then it looks from the outside! The sign also says SOLD! We can't wait to paint and move in.

Trenton's 1st Fiedtrip to Freeman Farms

Well all of the kindergarten classes went on their first field trip to a pumpkin farm in Chino Valley. I was lucky to be able to go with him, thanks to Erin for watching our other two kids. It was so much fun.
This is on the hay ride we took. The little boy next to us doesn't look too happy:) His is so nice though.
This was at the end of the corn maze! He lead us and we made it only with one miststake. He had a lot of fun showing us.

Here is his class. Right after he got to choose a pumpkin to take home.

Not the greatest picture to show off the pumpkin, but it is actually a pretty perfect looking one:) He is so cute. Thank you , Trenton for letting me come and share the day with you, I love you!

Tatum's pony

Tatum's hair is finally getting long enough to put it all up into one ponytail;) Even the very bottom. This was one of her Halloween bows. I have to show people because my mom would be so proud that I do her hair:) Sure do miss my mom! I know she is watching us all the time!
My little girl is getting so big! Still addicted to that passie though. Ha, Ha we'll get her off it in a little while.
These are her ducks for the bathtub that Grandma Legler gave her for her birthday. She loves them, thanks Grandma:)

So I caught Tucker outside filling up his dump truck with some wood. Tucker finds wood to be so fascinating. Things could be worse right? I though it was cute. He didn't know I was videoing him. Is that a word, videoing? Until Tatum came out and then he knew something was wrong because I won't let her out without me.:) Take a look, I thought it was rather cute.

Buying our first House?

So we are in the process of purchasing our first HOUSE! We have an accepted offer and appraisal. So if something were to go wrong now it would just be that we are not suppose to buy it. As of right now we are scheduled to close on the 27Th of this month!!!!! So we will keep everyone posted on the up coming weeks! We are so excited so I had to tell everyone.:)

Learning to write by himself "Dot bodr me"

So Trenton was trying to write something the other night. He is learning in school to really try to sound out words so that he can try to spell them. Most of the time he spells it right. Well, Chris and I were watching him as he was doing this one without him knowing. After he was done he lifted the paper up and said to us "Don't bother me". Then he got some tape and taped it to the door. It is pretty fun to watch your child learning how to read and how to write. We were pretty impressed because he started kindergarten just 2 months ago!

A little pumpkin painting!

Tucker getting a little crazy with the paint. We didn't have any brushes so we use just our fingers! The boys decided that the entire hand was better though:)
Look at this cute smile. They were is heaven getting so dirty. I'm so glad that it was washable.

This was actually before we started. You can see how clean they were. Sorry, I didn't take a pic of the finished products. Just imagine... the little pumpkins are all the same color as all their colors blended together, ha ha.
I can never get Tucker to actually smile. He always has a weird look on his face. Oh well, still cute.

Tucker and The Pumpkin Patch

Tucker and his pre-school class at Windmill Farms last week. They went there for their first fieldtrip.
We were able to go with him to it. All of us, except for Trenton, who was in school.

Tucker and Tatum got to ride the train together. They were pretty use to it because their G-Pa Burk has a train at home that they are able to ride in all the time:)

He got it!

He got it! Chris was able to get his Elk this year with his BOW! A nice 6x6. That is a hard thing to do, but he did it and did it well:) Chris' Dad was able to go with him and help which was a great father, son bonding time for them. This means we have some Elk jerky coming thanks to some help from two of Brittany's brother's, Ryan and Taylor:) They helped Chris get the Elk out of the really difficult terrain. Thanks everyone!!

Weekend before Labor Day

So of course we got to go to Lake Powell for a great weekend, which it was and I forgot the CAMERA! This great time that we had with all of my family on my parents timeshare on the new houseboat, and I can not document it! My sister-in-law took a ton of pics though and so we have something to remember the fun we had. There were great pics of Trent paddling the kids around in "the boat" or kayak for those of us who use that word. Chris fishing with the boys and also shooting a carp with a bow that he rigged a fishing line attached to the arrow so he could reel in it. (That is actually something that people really do). Tatum playing in the sand right where the water came up to he little legs and so many other things that I was so mad that I didn't have the camera to capture all those moments. So now I've made it a point that if we are going somewhere that I try to remember it!
Well the house that we put the offer on, we withdrew it because it could be months and months before we know anything. So we found another house and decided to try to get it. This house sat for over 100 days and no action on it until we decided to put an offer on it. Another offer was given the exact same day! Well turns out they never even got a response from the bank on it. So, oh well. I guess we were not suppose to have that house even when we thought we were. We are taking a break on our house hunting. Kind of burned out. So everything else is great though.
Tucker started pre-school. One of the ladies that use to be in the primary presidency with me started one a few years ago. Tucker was a little jealous of Trenton going to school so we decided to try it. He is now asking to go everyday like Trent. It's only Tuesdays and Thursdays so we have to keep reminding him of that.
Tatum is now pretty much running. She walks and runs on her toes like Tucker did. She is really starting to talk now too. She loves Nursery and we love it too. Chris teaches a primary class and I am the 1st counselor in the Primary Presidency so we were counting down the days until she was old enough for Nursery. She walked in the first day and has never had a problem! That is so lucky because the boys were both opposite. Oue baby girl is so great and we love all of our kids soooo much:)

What's goin' on!

Well it's been quite a long time since I've done anything on this blog. Seems like all that is going on right now besides Trenton starting school his looking for houses. We are excited to start looking although it's already been grueling. We have looked at a dozen or so and that's after a million it seems like that we have seen online. We made an offer on one, but didn't get it and we have an offer in now. So we'll see what we are suppose to live? I'm determined that we will find the right house for us! So most of my spare time I spend doing one of those two things.
Other news is I, Brittany was released from my Young Women calling of being the Beehive Advisor. I'm now in the Primary as 1st Councilor. So far it's been really fun. One blessing for sure is Tatum is going into Nursery next week! Hooray! She's been in there a little bit and we have never had a problem at all. So that is what we are up to. We were able to get to see our friends Andy and Amber Pavlovich and get to meet their little girl, Kylee. She is so cute. Tatum loved her. That was fun. So long for now. I'll try to be better at this thing!

Kindergarten Kid Now!

Well he started school. We have all agreed that Trenton going to school is harder on his mom. He has been so excited and looking forward to this day. He made some new friends named Conner and Miles. He says the first day was great. He asked me this afternoon if the morning could come faster because he couldn't wait to go back! I'll take that as a good sign. we are proud of our BIG kid! He is still mommy's baby though:)

Steven came home!!!!

We are so excited to have Chris' little brother home from his mission. He served in the Washington, Kennewick mission. We missed him and are so happy to have him home!

The greatest 4Th ever!

We got to take just Trenton to the Rodeo this year. Our other two would have just got board. We took him to dinner where ever he wanted to go and then to the Rodeo. He also got to ride the mechanical bull and stayed on. Then showed everyone that he could do some pull-up from the Marine booth at the Rodeo. Who ever could do certain amounts of pull-ups got something from the Marines. Trent ended up doing 6 pull-ups. He got a Marine baseball cap. He had a group of people cheering for him. He had a lot of fun. He stayed interested in the entire Rodeo. It was almost 3 hours too. I was surprised. Of course i didn't take any pictures:(
I feel sooooo bad because I didn't get any other pics of the day. The parade is so fun and there are so many floats. I love all the horse ones of course. And the kids did really well at it, well all but Tatum. She wanted to walk with all the floats. There was one accident during the parade. A pony pulling a cart and a women went out of control and took out another horse with a grandmother and a grand-daughter on it. The hores fell due to the pony running into it and the people were smashed by their own horse. The little girl was wearing a helmet, so she and her grandmother ended up being OK. The parade was delayed for 15 minutes or so and then they both got back on their horse and road on. That was the first accident we have ever seen in a 4Th of July parade.
The fireworks were fun too. We are lucky because we can watch them from home. We sit in the driveway and see them perfect. Then we don't have to fight the traffic and the kids go right in and go to bed! We had a really fun day.
Here he is Tucker Legler 1st place winner of the Prescott Boot Race 2009. The trophy is almost as big as he is! He also won a certificate for a pair of boots from Savoini's Feed Store worth $100!!!!Boots for next year here we come. The rule in this boot race is that they have to wear cowboy boots. So this is why we taped Tuckers on so he would be able to run fast in them. Well, it worked!! Awesome job buddy!

Here the are right before they took off. Jalie, (Tucks cousin) Tucker, and Kalie, (Tucks friend, Jalie's other cousin). Confused yet?

Here is Tucker trying to see me, but the sun was right in his face. We had to sports tape his boots on him cuz his were a little big and they fall of when he runs too fast. It must have worked because he WON the 3 and under heat!!! 1st place winner. We just love to see the kids run and he ran as fast as "Lightning McQueen"! I said to him right before the raced that his boots were like McQueen's tires.:) They love to do it and know that it's all for fun!

Trenton getting ready to run the Boot Race right after the 4Th of July parade! He was in the 5-6 year old age group. This is his two cousins Hunter and Jalie. Trenton ended up getting 4Th place. He stopped about 2 feet in front of the finish line to look where Chris was so he wouldn't get lost after the race was over. Oh well, there is always next year. He ran really well in those boots! His boots were lace-ups so we didn't need to use tape. We are proud of this boy and he was such a good sport when Tucks got the trophy and he didn't. Good job buddy!

No CAVITIES!

The boys had dentist appointments and the great new was that they both had no cavities! That is a good job to Mom, because she does all the teeth brushing and is considered to be a "tooth Nazi", as Chris would put it. I say, "because I won't let them have anything after they brush their teeth at night but water". They did so well at the appointment. They both jump up on the table and open wide! The dental assistants love them because they didn't cry at all. Wonderful for us and them!!

Lucy

Well this is the newest member of our family, Lucy. She is a 10 week old "Light" Beagle puppy. We got her on our trip down to Mesa after we went to the Phx Zoo. So far she is a great puppy and she sure enjoys our kids. The kids just love her to death. Tucker is so afraid of dogs, but Lucy is his best friend now. She follows him as well as the other kids around. We are so happy to have her!

This is Trent holding our new puppy, Lucy.

So the pic got put on twice as you can see and I can't get it to delete. oopps!

Our Family Weekend!

We decided that we needed to go to the Phoenix Zoo. The kids got in for free so it was much more affodable. We got a hotel on Priceline.com and off we went! This is the boys at the hotel swimming pool. They had a lot of fun.
The fun tree house at the zoo. This was the only picture the boys let me take on it.

Tucker didn't want to look at me. Oh well, he is still cute:)

The elefant's were Tucker's favorit. (he has a slight obsession with "Dumbo"). Tataum and Trent loved them too.

Chris PASSED his boards!

This is one way my great husband loves to pass his time. Without having to worry about taking those big, scary boards now that he has taken them and PASSED!!!!! Now there is so much less stress and so much more time for him to do the things he loves. He doesn't have to study every waking second anymore! Being the wife I'm also very excited. We now have more time together and also as a family. We have been so blessed to have had the opportunity to go to school and with all the support of our family and friends! Now the new chapter begins in our lives. We are so excited!

Tucker singing

Tucker is in love with the movie, "Dumbo" right now. He also loves to sing his own version of "Baby of Mine". Hope you enjoy it like we do! Now for the show.

Sleepy Head

Look at our Tucker! After a long Fast Sunday, a bike ride with daddy and Trent, Tucks is so tuckered out:) (cookie and all)

Our Saturday

On Saturday we took the kids to the Prescott Court House. They love to run around on all the grass and Tucker learned how to pronounce gazebo. Earlier in the day we got to watch our nephew and cousin, Connor. We love that little guy. He is so cute:)
After coming out of Costco, there were fireman with the fire trucks out for kids and people to tour. I liked how bid the tires were compared to how tall tucker is.

Trenton got to get up in the cab and pretend he was talking on the headphones like a fireman. They both loved it.

The Burk family seems to have kids in sets of 3. This is Tucker's set..on his right is Jalie (brit's sister's) and on his left is Brek (brit's brother's) They are all 3 years old and born within 4 months of each other.
It was Sunday afternoon after our usual weekly dinner and they had cupcakes. So that is why the nakedness is there.

7 Years ago TODAY

7 years ago TODAY Chris purposed to me when we were up at Lake Powell. It was a Burk family reunion (my family) and he came with me to it. I knew he was the one for sure not long after we started dating. He tried to find the right time to pop the question, but it was not working out like he wanted it to. The entire thought up a plan. I had no idea of anything at all. Which is crazy because a house boat is only so big and there were a lot of little mouths that could have slipped and said something. It was so unbelievable, but no one did. My uncle asked me if Chris and I would go back to the dock and get some Pepsi out of his truck. I said of course cuz it was Pepsi!! Anyways we didn't get too far in the boat when Chris stopped and turned the boat off. (This is in the dark too). So i was a little nervous when he stopped because I thought something was wrong with the boat. Well he of course got down on the floor in the boat and said a lot of things and of course I said YES! Now here we are 7 years later, 3 kids, graduated grad school and staring the new job! I love Chris more than word can describe. He is one of the greatest people I know and is amazing at everything! I LOVE you babe!

What a MESS!

So I forgot about this until I was looking through our pics on the camera. I gave Tatum a red vine in desperation. We were about 40 minutes still away from home on our way back from Flagstaff for graduation. She was so done with the car and the day in general so what else then to give her sugar, right? Only thing is that the good time foe her lasted only a few short minutes. Oh well. It was good while it lasted:)
